A group of four Chinese rectangular silk embroideries dating from the 19th century. The group includes: a framed panel with a boating scene on a white ground, a framed panel of a courtly garden scene with women, a panel with a courtly garden scene featuring the forbidden stitch, and a panel with a garden scene with phoenixes featuring gold thread and the forbidden stitch. Dimensions are: the largest panel measures 20 1/2 inches tall X 8 inches wide, 52.1 cm X 20.3 cm, while the frame measures 25 inches tall X 12 1/4 inches wide, 63.5 cm X 31.1 cm. All measurements are approximate. Condition: All panels are in overall good condition with creasing and wear. A reminder that all lots are sold as-is.
