A group of five Chinese embroideries and textiles dating from the 19th century. The first item is a white-ground embroidery featuring a symmetrical scene of birds and bamboo, and it utilizes the forbidden stitch. The second item is a white-ground embroidery featuring a scene with many figures, and it utilizes the forbidden stitch. The third item is an orange-ground embroidery featuring a child riding a qilin surrounded by Buddhist emblems, and it utilizes the forbidden stitch.
