A Chinese red-ground lacquer chair dating from the Qing dynasty. The chair features incised and painted flower and fruit tracery throughout with geometric designs. The seat has a dragon roundel, and backing of the chair has scene with five figures. Dimensions are: 36 1/2 inches tall X 22 inches wide X 17 inches deep, 92.7 cm X 55.9 cm X 43.2 cm. All measurements are approximate. Condition: There is significant chipping, cracking, loss to the surface, and overpainting throughout. Multiple areas of breakage and repair are present as well.
