A Tibetan painted bronze statue of Yamantaka, specifically his aspect Vajrabhairava, and his consort, Vajravetali, dating from the 18th century. Yamantaka stands with his many legs in alidhasana pose on a series of human and animal victims. In his front two hands, he holds a skull cup and a kartika knife, the same attributes that Vajravetali holds in her two hands. Yamantaka's many other arms fan out behind him, holding other attributes and making various mudra. He has ten heads in total, the foremost of which is in the form of a bull. The statue itself comes in seven parts which connect together: four sets of arms, the base, the body of Yamantaka, and the body of Vajravetali. Dimensions are: 5 inches tall X 4 1/2 inches wide, 12.7 cm X 11.4 cm. Weight: 1074 grams. All measurements are approximate. Condition: There is age appropriate wear including wear to the paint.
