蓝釉始于元代，为明清官窑的重要品种，清代御窑将此釉色专称为“霁青”，取光风霁月，澄雅宜人之意。此对马蹄水盂，器外壁通体施霁蓝釉，胎体坚实细腻，釉面均匀莹润，色调深沉浓艳，如若蓝宝石之色，明丽绚烂，光晕内敛；内壁及口沿施白釉，釉色通透洁净。成对难得，为文房陈设之佳器。
