IMPRESSIVE GOTHIC STYLE ALTAR TRIPTYCH Francisco Pallás y Puig, Valencia, late 19th century 47 x 47 cm A large and impressive Pseudo-Late Gothic parcel gilt and blue painted bone and oakwood triptych depicting the Life of Christ. Rich Neo-Gothic architectural elements, flowers and three carved coat of arms in the upper part. Min. losses, minor damages due to age. Minor wear. South German Private Collection. Francisco Pallás y Puig (Valencia 1859-1926) was a student of the Academia de San Carlos. Initially, he worked in various locations in Spain, primarily in wood and specialized in bone and ivory imitations of any style. He exhibited at various international exhibitions, e.g. in Paris and New York. Works of Pallér y Puig are to be found in the Walters Art Gallery/Baltimore, in the Musée du Palais Bénédictine/Fécamp, Normandy, in the Louvre and in the Museo Arocena in Torréon/Mexico (Ref. 15.
