A LARGE GOTHIC SCULPTURE OF THE VIRGIN AND CHILD ON THE CRESCENT MOON North-West-German, circa 1500 H. 120 cm The figure of the Madonna standing on the crescent moon, the child is sitting on her left arm and grasping a pear with both hands. Elaborate robe and cloak in red, white and blue. Oakwood, carved with hollowed back. Crown and right hand of the Madonna with the pear later.
