AN ELABORATE CARVED, SILVERED AND GILT BIEDERMEIER CHANDELIER German, circa 1830 D.ca. 100 cm, H. ca. 100 cm, verstellbar Carved wood, partially stuccoed, gilt and silvered. With twelve lights, the arms made of iron, applied with wood, later electrified. Star, palmette and flower applications on the lampshell. Polychromy renewed, rest. Damages due to age. Property of a Thuringian noble family, formerly inventory of Poschwitz Castle. The chandelier is visible on an old interior photography of the living room, circa from the 1930ies.
