A FINE CAST GILT-LACQUERED BRONZE MODEL OF SEATED GUANYIN ON A THRONE China, late Ming dynasty H. 24,5 cm Seated in vajrasana on a lotus-base with both hands holding stem of lotuses flowering along the shoulders supporting a flask and bird, wearing dhoti, scarf draped around his shoulders, its streamers encircling the arms with the finials falling down over the front of the base, bejewelled, his face displaying a serene expression with downcast eyes, full cheeks and his hair combed in a chignon secured with an elaborate tiara decorated with tassels.
