signed YAMING, inscribed, and with one seal of the artist ink and color on paper, hanging scroll Ya Ming (1924-2002),officialy known as Ye Jiabing,was born in Hefei,Anhui Province.He graduated from the Huainan Academy of Fine Arts in 1941.He joined the revolution early on,and served as a journalist,art editor,and editor-in-chief of a number of pictorials.Ya was good at both figure and landscape paintings,and has exhibited at home and abroad.He served as a member of the executive council of the Chinese Artists Association and as professor at Nanjing University.
