孔雀绿釉是一种以铜为着色剂的低温釉，因呈色似孔雀尾羽而得名，始见于宋代磁州窑，元代景德镇亦开始生产。孔雀绿釉的烧造过程较为复杂，需先在1300摄氏度高温下烧制涩胎，然后施孔雀绿釉，再二次入窑低温烘烧而成。孔雀绿釉多为祭器和陈设用瓷，是陶瓷史中一个重要瓷器品种。此壶造型奇特，为清代仿生瓷-折枝蟠桃，除折枝叶杆为茄皮紫色釉外，通体施孔雀绿釉，釉面密布细小开片，玻璃质感强，釉色明净，品相完好，极为难得。
