上圆下方葫芦瓶是瓶式之一，流行于明嘉靖时期，清代亦有烧制。本瓶就是此器型，上圆下方，表示天圆地，体现了古人的伟大哲学智慧。器形硕大端庄，胎质细腻，胎体厚重，腹部上方绘缠枝莲纹，下方绘开光梵文，画工繁密有致，青花发亮紫色。 参阅：法国吉美博物馆藏嘉靖瓷器。
