A parcel gilt sterling sugar bowl by Stephen Adams I from London dated 1808. It comes with two Georgian tipped fiddle back pattern sterling spoons from London, one by John Meek dated 1820, one of which is a master salt and the other is a small 1899 Birmingham spoon, a Geo. IV ladle marked Exeter dated 1832 by Jonathan Ramsey, and a Durgin fork. Every item has a hallmark. The sugar bowl and the Durgin fork have monograms. Dimensions are: 4 1/2 inches tall X 7 1/4 inches wide X 4 1/2 inches deep, 11.43 cm X 18.4 cm x 11.43 cm. Total weight: 366.7 grams (11.8 ozt). All measurements are approximate. Condition: All the items have surface wear. The sugar bowl has a large dent and several minor dents. Provenance: Offered at auction on behalf of the Ashby Ponds Benevolent fund.
