Carved round figural cinnabar lidded box, having a diapered background, central roundel depicting a figure in a landscape reaching for a blossom, the reserves with florals, and on a meandering patterned foot. The lid retaining a paper label. Provenance: From a Private Collection, Birmingham, AL, by descent; acquired in China between 1901-1926. Approx. overall, h. 4.5", dia. 7.25".
