铜胎掐丝珐琅三象足香薰 The censer is of rounded cylindrical form rising to a flared mouth rim and is supported on three gilt elephant-heads. The sides are applied with a further pair of elephant-heads and the body is decorated with six emblems, surrounded by lotus scrolls with large blooms and trailing leafy tendrils. The cover is decorated with a large ruyi-head band enclosing further stylised lotus blooms, on a yellow ground with bats and shou characters. The finial is formed as a recumbent elephant carrying a globular censer on its back.
