TWO JAPANESE LACQUER INRO MEIJI PERIOD (1868-1912) The first a four case inro depicting manchurian cranes in hiramakie and takamakie on a gold ground flying across a fast flowing river; with a bone netsuke of a stylised chrysanthemum; the second a three case gold inro in togidashi technique of wood temple and mountains in the clouds in the background and accompanying sennin (immortal) netsuke in bone staghorn. The inros 8.5cm x 6 cm & 9cm x 5cm PROVENANCE: A Private Collection of Inro and Japanese accessories. Condition Report Condition:The first with minor rubbing overall, significant loss to top and bottom case, and losses to reverse. The second with minor rubbing and minor losses to lacquer decoration.
