清 紫檀嵌百寶雙龍紋乙字款磬形盒 Chinese. Modelled in the form of Qing, an ancient Chinese ritual chime, in form of stacked books, the top cover finely inlaid in various materials, including mother-of-pearl, tortoise shell to depict a pair of stylized kui dragons flanking a pearl ball (missing inlay), the base carved with a single character ' Yi'. 此盒整體呈古代青銅器磬鐘式，主體材質為紫檀，用材考究。盒蓋表面用螺鈿，玳瑁，松石等名貴材料以百寶嵌工藝作一堆夔龍戲珠紋，圖案設計端莊典雅，頗有古意。 “磬”為先秦時期打擊玉器，用石或玉製成，形狀像曲尺。磬亦通‘慶’，寓意吉慶有餘。盒底刻一‘乙’字款，應為乾隆時期宮廷作坊對器物等級評定的標註，分為‘甲，乙，丙，丁’等，甲為最高級。此件紫檀蓋盒用材考究，包漿古潤，置於案頭，賞心悅目，不可多得。
