Two Khmer style carved stone heads 高棉风格石雕佛首两件 Both faces with serene expression, almond-shaped eyes under straight eyebrows, and elongated earlobes; the smaller one's hair worked in tight curls rising to the domed ushnisha; the larger one wearing a tall diadem with lobed ushnisha, decorated with rosettes; both on later wood stands (H: 6 1/2 in., 8 1/2 in.) Property from the Collection of Dr. and Mrs. Giraud V. and Carolyn Foster, acquired prior to 1974. Condition report: The smaller one degraded to the fromt face especally eyes, partical losses to both ears; the larger one bear loss to ear and back of the head.
