A group of 4 19th century Chinese embroideries. The group includes: three ranking badges featuring floral motifs, one with fish and one with insects. The fourth embroidery depicts birds and butterflies among flowers with a geometric floral border. Dimensions are: the largest framed embroidery measures, 26 ½ inches tall X 15 inches wide, 67.31 cm X 38.1cm; the embroidery measures, 24 1/2 inches tall X 11 1/2 inches wide, 62.23 cm X 29.21 cm. Condition: The largest embroidery has some minor staining and thread pulls. The blue floral ranking badge has a stain to the framed silk matting in the upper left corner, elements are missing from the flowers including the threads that creates the leaves, and there is some minor staining. No noted damage to the other embroideries. Provenance: From a private Georgia collection.
