Japanese 19th Century Enameled Brownware Teapot, possibly Kyo-Yaki, enameled with peonies, magnolia branches and a blue bird on a matte brown ware, glazed in a warm white crackle glaze to inside, the brown base with 2 seal marks, the cover with a revolving metal finial; wood stand. Height of teapot with cover only 6 1/4 inches (16 cm.). PROVENANCE: Property of a Long Beach, Long Island Estate sold without reserves.
