Chinese 19th C Gold & Black Lacquer Rectangular Box (probably for Tea or Storage) with hinged cover and lock plate intricately painted with miniature windows to bracket shaped sides, edges and top filled with Mandarin Domestic Scenes on a ground of small leaves all in pencil thin gold lines on black; the base and inside in black enamel. Height 4 1/2 inches (11.5 cm.) X width 12 3/4 inches (32.3 cm.).
