A pair of Meissen porcelain table salts, modelled as a man and a woman in 18th century dress, each holding a posy of flowers and seated between two baskets, originally modelled by Johann Joachim Kaendler c1759, the baskets decorated with sprigs of flowers and butterflies, polychrome enamelled with gilt edging, on scrolling shaped oval bases, each bearing Meissen crossed swords verso, model No.3024, further numbered 47 and 35, length 13.5cm
