A late Victorian silver mounted horse hoof inkwell and a novelty electroplated inkwell in the form of a Scotch thistle first Birmingham, 1899 by Thomas Latham & Ernest Morton, engraved ' 1868 "NOB" 1881', having a hinged domed cover with ball finial, second fitted with a liner and bears presentation inscription 'Capt A.H.R. Ogilvy from P. Reardon Late Sergeant Major "A' Troop 13th Hussars 15th Octr 1890, (2) first height 8.5 cm Condition: First no liner for inkwell. Only the upper part of the mount is silver, the horseshoe is plated. engraving slightly rubbed Otherwise in good condition.
