A Chinese watercolor and ink painting on paper of a Luohan in a tree by a waterfall by Lu Hui. The piece has a purple ground, and it is painted with silver- and gold- toned paint. It has an inscription and two seals, and it is mounted on a silk backing with wooden dowels. Dimensions are: 50 1/2 inches tall X 15 3/4 inches wide, 128.3 cm X 40 cm. Minor abrasions and wear to the surface are present elsewhere. Provenance: From Mrs. Lim in Boston, Massachusetts.
