Daniel Sherrin (1868 - 1940) was an English painter who was commissioned by King George V to paint Sandringham and this painting is still hanging in Buckingham Palace. His work is highly detailed, describing objects such as ships and cattle accurately while maintaining a sense of light and atmosphere. Sherrin’s work can be found in mostly British museum collections, including the Bury Art Museum and the Williamson Art Gallery & Museum in Claughton.
