Measurements: 8.75in x8.125in x 8.125in Chinese Qing Dynasty Period, Famille Jaune monochrome porcelain jar. Potted with a large cylinder vessel, jar shape, having thick and tall potted body, sturdily potted in slight ovoid belly, heavy on shoulder gently tapered on short neck, toward opening mouth prominent, with slight flaring opening lip, and raised on flat wide round foot base. All reserved in an even coat of a yellow egg yolk glaze which terminates at the base to reveal the pure white under glaze. The yellow glaze creates a mottled effect around the rim which is likened unto the blushing of human skin. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous, the shape is uniformly proportioned. Mark on base, a six under glazed blue script Kaishu characters reign mark, Made In The Years KangXi Reign Period of Great Qing Dynasty.
