Qing Dynasty. Each chair is carved with in high relief depicting a pair of birds facing each other perched in a blossoming plum tree, the headrest and the openwork spandrels on the back and under the S-shaped armrests, all carved with scroll pattern works, the legs further secured by rounded foot-stretchers.
