日本藝術家下田光生於1984年，畢業於京都嵯峨藝術大學後於2008在長野藝術學院擔任講師。不久之後，她獲選在東京的Motto畫廊舉辦個展，在此之後下田光更活耀於國際畫廊之間。她受到青春時代日本漫畫和動畫的影響，作品大多以卡通世界豐富多彩的上色技巧來描繪壹個可愛和恐怖共處的世界。下田光的作品多以明亮的糖果色調描繪天真無邪的兒童，然而可愛的畫風背後，主題卻是無比灰暗憂鬱的。如今她的作品於世界多地畫廊舉辦展覽，包括日本、美國、加拿大、歐洲等。
