Circle of Dante Gabriel Rossetti (1828-1882), A late 19th century study of Proserpine, Red chalk on paper, Unsigned, 29cm x 22.5cm, Unframed Note: Proserpine is the Roman equivalent of the Greek goddess Persephone. Rossetti painted his work 'Proserpine' from life in 1878, using the model Jane Morris. The work now hangs in Tate Britain.
