仙槎源于神话传说，晋张华《博物志》中记某人乘槎泛海漂去，竟遇牛郎织女，后世又将故事人物附会为张骞，谓其乘槎寻黄河之源。明清时期，仙槎被纳入吉祥图案体系，与八仙过海等题材类似，皆被赋予祝寿之意，甚得皇室宝爱，是清代宫廷工艺品中常见的题材之一。此件白玉雕仙人乘槎取白玉整雕，局部留皮。仙人长袍宽衣，喜笑颜开，一站立划桨，一盘坐回首，侃侃而谈，一旁花篮内仙草宝物成簇。配原装木座雕刻海浪纹，模拟槎下波涛汹涌，浪花翻滚之情势。此件结构匀称，置景错落有致，富于装饰趣味，选料、题材、工艺无一不琢磨考究，堪为珍品。来源：1989年11月15日，香港苏富比，Lot.695
