此水丞玉色青白，立体圆雕一侧首蚣蝮，粗眉圆眼，卷耳双角，长发后披，张口呲牙，四肢伏于地，作蓄势待发状，姿态威严凶猛。背部开孔，膛内掏空可贮水，孔上有盖，盖钮高浮雕一只蜷曲的螭龙。蚣蝮是龙九子之一，性善好水，又称吸水兽，肚子里能盛非常多的水，会调节水量，寓意四方平安，永避水害，长永存安，因此常以圆雕陈设或水丞形式出现。参阅：故宫博物院藏青玉异兽砚滴
