Wonderful one-of-a-kind 16th-18thC Kandy period Lankan Buddha. Excellent condition with original very high-quality mercury gilding- only loss is flame, and may have originally had a separate base and/or a back-plate. Apparently was mounted to something It“ has an old patch on the back of the base. Unbelievably heavy- sits close to 7 inches tall by 6.5 inches wide by over 4 inches deep and weighs 9.5 pounds. Custom stand elevates him to 8.75 inches tall. Larger than his dimensions suggest. I've owned him almost 25 years, and in all that time I've never seen another like him- even in books. Superior quality is hard to convey in photos.
