13/14thC Thai or Khmer terracotta Buddha head. Very beautiful life-size face that beautifully shows the transition between Khmer and Thai sculpture at its very best. Some surface wear, chips and abrasions, but overall condition is excellent. I have owned 20+ years and recently had a professional stand made for it- it really came alive into the powerful presence you see here. Head is 9.25 inches tall, height on custom stand is 13.75 inches. Traces of original red/brown lacquer remain. Very striking image. Commands center of attention in any room.
