Early Chinese or Korean bronze Bodhisattva. Solid-cast bronze. This piece measures 4 7/8" tall. I originally listed as Korean, but Koller, the well respected Swiss Auction house, has an extremely closely related example (same size) in their June 2016 auction (lot 175) with a pre-auction estimate of 2000 to 3000 Swiss dollars. They describe theirs as 6thC Sui, and Chinese. Koller often gets much higher than their pre-auction estimates. The last photo below is of the Koller example up for auction.
