说明：此砚屏屏心以寿山石精琢而成加以红木框托搭配。屏心取寿山石中色泽莹润的材料，双面雕刻“一路连科”的吉祥图案。一路连科是古陶瓷的一种装饰纹样，画面为鹭丝与莲花相配，取鹭与路、莲与连谐音，故名。是对科举时代应试考生的祝颂语，寓意科举仕途顺利，连中三元，在清代瓷器上较为多见。砚屏以浮雕的手法表现，布局疏密得宜，刀法圆熟流畅，刻画的鹭生动自然，莲花线条流畅，画面寓意吉祥，十分难得。
