RARE NANTGARW PORCELAIN SQUARE DISH - MACKINTOSH SERVICE London decorated and probably painted by Thomas Martin Randall, a square dish painted in the centre with a standing bird amongst foliage, the border painted with sprays of flowers and gilded decoration including shells. With a collection label for Cyril Kieft, and hand written label saying formerly in the Herbert Eccles Collection, impressed mark for Nantgarw. 23cms square *Cyril Kieft was born in Swansea, a noted businessman and industrialist he built a large collection of Swansea and Nantgarw. *This lot was purchased at Sotheby & Co, 8th of May 1973, lot 171.
