(1800-1879) A vellum-bound album of figurative studies The album consisting of forty-seven pages of laid paper, the works mostly pen and brown ink or pencil; together with three further unframed drawings in the manner of Fuseli the album: 32 by 20 cm.; 12 by 8 in. All unframed (4) Sir William Boxall, R.A. (1800-1879) was a portrait painter and was appointed Director of the National Gallery in 1865.
