Lot includes embroideries in a variety of sizes and subject manner. 1 Yin and Yang circular embroidery using gold thread. 1scalloped edge embroidery with a blue bird resting on a branch with gold thread decorative borders and green flowers. 1 small diamond shape embroidery of a woman riding a mythical beast with gold thread bats, borders and phoenix, 1 circular panel with two children playing with bats and ruyi clouds above them, 2 circular panels with a red flower in the center and two colored bats with good luck symbol on them, four red silk circular panels with a stork in the center. Dimensions are: Red circular stork panels: 7 5/8 inches diameter; 19.36 cm diameter. Red flower circular panel: 11 1/2 inches diameter; 29.21 cm diameter. Yin and yang circular panel: 8 1/8 inches diameter; 20.63 cm diameter. All measurements are approximate. Condition: Age and use wear. Very good condition. Provenance: From a private Northern Virginia collection. Collected in the early 20th century by the current owner's grandparents during their time stationed in China working for Standard Oil.
