This is a beautiful statue of Nefertiti. Her name roughly translates to the beautiful one is to come. Famed throughout the ancient world and within our present world for her outstanding beauty, Nefertiti remains one of the most well-known Queens of Egypt. Her head is adorned with a high headdress, with precision it is painted in a blue, green, red, and gold patina. Her chin is pronounced, her nose is straight and narrow, her eyes majestic and powerful and her cheekbones high. The detailing in this and her ears are truly remarkable. Around her neck is a wide collar necklace which in her day would be beaded with an elongated gold bead named after her called and jade beads.
