This rhino stands with his nose high in the air and his legs are planted on the ground with an immovable stance. Rhinos are known for using body language to communicate. Typically rhinos never lift their heads from walking, trotting, or grazing. Rhinoceros keep their heads down in the same position and will only raise it when they become alarmed. They are able to maintain speeds of 25 miles per hour over short distances and they are surprisingly agile. They also use Vocalizations to communicate as well. This Bronze Sculpture depicts an alarming rhino. His ears are upright and forward on the alert of any strange noises and his head high in the air checking out his surroundings and ready to charge at any moment. This Bronze portrays great lifelike qualities such as the proportions right down to the elongated head and the horns, one horn in front and a shorter one behind. The skin is thick and prominently folded on the front of the shoulders and on the upper part of the hind limbs. His massive feet sports 3 toes on each and have great detail. This Bronze Sculpture was cast using the Lost Wax Method ensuring the quality of detail. Dimensions: Height 8 X Width 8 inches. Weight: 8 LBS.
