A good late 17th century month-going longcase clock movement and dial in a later case Daniel le Count, London The 11 inch square brass dial with winged cherubs head spandrels framing the wide Roman and Arabic chapter ring bordered by minute and quarter-hour tracks to the finely matted centre with subsidiary seconds dial, ringed winding squares, decorated chamfered date aperture and flowerhead-engraved centre boss, the movement with five knopped and ringed pillars,anchor escapement and outside countwheel strike on a bell (the detent with shaped terminal), now with an attached arch revealing a rocking ship and contained in a later mahogany case with shaped cresting on freestanding columns over an arched door inlaid with (earlier) marquetry panels. 2.34m (92in) high.
