A LARGE DEHUA FIGURE OF A SEATED GUANYIN IMPRESSED WITH A HE CHAOZONG 何朝宗 CALABASH SHAPED SEAL MARK China, Fujian, Dehua, Qing Dynasty, 18th to 19th century The goddess of mercy is depicted seated in rajalalisana, the hands in ardhachandra mudra, next to her a basket together with a fish. Two impressed seal to her back, one of calabash form reading He Chaozong Yin, the other of square shape reading Xuande. Offered at auction together with a wooden lotus stand.
