和阗白玉质地，通体受沁呈微红色。圆雕一鸡，呈蹲伏状，回首凝视。鸡冠立起，略呈锯齿状，圆眼尖喙。身体浑圆，臀部隆起，大尾垂地。自前至后皆采用阴刻线琢饰颈毛、翅膀及尾羽。圆雕动物在于神，此件作品造型表现出准确的起伏，并无任何繁杂修饰，简洁而生动，圆润丰满，甚是可爱，具有中古韵味。背部至腹底有一穿孔，可供佩系。
