Peonies signed XIAHUANFEIAN, inscribed, and with two seals of the artist dated March，Jichou year（1949） ink and color on paper, hanging scroll Yu Feian(1888-1959) ，was a famous painter in modern China. He paid great attention to sketching and painting from nature. And had a preference for light, smooth and bright colours. He is constantly devising ways to depict new themes and subjects.
