*William Evan Charles Morgan (1903-1979) A heavy horse in a landscape etching, signed and dated 'William E C Morgan '31' l.r. plate 24.8 x 34.7cm William Evan Charles Morgan was born in London on 19 October 1903 and studied at Camberwell School of Art (1920-22), and at the Slade School of Fine Art, University College London (1922-24). In 1924, he was awarded the Prix de Rome Scholarship, enabling him to continue his studies in Italy.
