木镇纸呈方正片状，皮壳光润，包浆醇厚。刻工以刀代笔，以木为纸，阴刻山水图。施工清新写意，山石、树木、丛草等行云流水，恣意洒脱，俨然一幅文人水墨画，极具文人意趣。画末刻有诗文“家在江南黄叶邨”，出自宋代苏轼的《书李世南所画秋景二首》， 落款“己卯仲春制”，并有钤印。整器古雅，意趣盎然，文人气十足。
