玉勒子呈圆柱体，从两端的孔洞可见明显的工艺特征，为对穿打孔法，两端的孔洞较大，越往里则越狭小。由于当时工艺及工具的原始，打孔均无法做到绝对的居中。玉勒横切面可见明显的切割痕迹，呈现出原始琢玉特征。 玉勒周身受沁，红沁灰斑，呈色深沉而富有变化，古雅内敛，整体制式及工艺特征具有良渚文化期玉勒风格。此玉勒相较于常见玉勒尺寸更大，极为稀见，整器虽不琢，但玉质之美、沁色之美、原始的素雅朴拙之美扑面而来，令人爱不释手。
