随着藏传佛教造像艺术的发展，上师像逐渐成为其中一个重要的组成部分，上师像都力求写实，是为了将上师塑造出真正觉悟人的形象，以满足信众和弟子观想和供奉上师的需要。上师右手施触地印，左手结禅定印，全跏趺坐于莲座上。面容极为写实，棱角分明，双眉高挑，眼睛微合，仿若沉思，鼻翼较宽，双耳硕大。身体壮实有力。内着交领式坎肩，外着袒右式袈裟，袈裟边缘装饰的连珠。莲座偏圆，上下边缘皆饰连珠。莲瓣饱鼓，尖端翻卷，富有活力，均匀排列。此尊造像通体鎏金，形象生动写实，当为15世纪西藏上师造像之精品。
