She is blindfolded to assure fairness in judgment, which calls to the old sacred ideals of law practices. She stands barefoot on the book of the law, while a snake slithers up her side. Though it peers up at her menacingly, trying to hinder her, she is not affected. This brown patina sculpture was cast using the Lost Wax Method and mounted on a marble base.
