A pair of Chinese famille rose square vases depicting four Luohan dating from the Republic period. Each vase comes with a wooden stand. The necks and shoulders of the vases are decorated with Shou characters and medallions. Each vase has a 4-character mark on the bottom. Dimensions are: 6 1/4 inches tall X 3 1/8 inches wide, 15.9 cm X 7.9 cm. All measurements are approximate. Condition: One vase has a minuscule chip to the rim, but it is in overall good condition. The other vase is in good condition. One stand is missing a foot. Provenance: From Ms. Simko in Sacramento, California. A family heirloom. High resolution images can be found here.
